Day 3 - On our way home

Last day in the hospital...and I am with mixed emotions. During this entire pregnancy, I have been confused with how I will handle two babies. Not handle them meaning on how to cope with taking care of a newborn and a toddler, but how I'm going to love a new baby as much as I have loved Allie. Allie has been the center of my universe for two years now...and suddenly I have a new baby...that's NOT Allie.

Being in the hospital has managed to keep the two babies separate for me - one at home and one still here in the hospital. But today - the two worlds will collide and I will have to figure it all out.

Before leaving the hospital - I took a few pictures...similar to the photos I took of Allie on her day home...

You can see how similar they look! Yes - I was a dork and saved the SAME outfit for Kaiya that we took Allie home in! Allie is on top and Kaiya is on the bottom! Twins, huh?!
It was a rather eventful day - not just leaving the hospital. Bana and Aunt Kristin flew in to town this morning, so Allie and Brad stopped in this morning to say hi before leaving for the airport to pick them up. Mammaw and I stayed at the hospital until our chauffeur came back for us!

I had a beautiful view of the Wasatch Mountain Range from my "hotel" room! It was awesome to watch the sun rise and set each day!

And of course, I loved just watching baby Kaiya sleep...newborns....God made them cute on purpose...

Bella Baby Photography came by to do some photos...and although I'm not a fan of this type of "commercialized" photography - they did a pretty freakin' good job. I guess when anyone takes a picture of your kids, you're going to think it's awesome. Here are a few of my favorites:

This one is my new all time favorite photo! Allie was not a fan of having her picture taken by the photographer...so we got one good one..(the one above) and then Allie slowly slid down...and further down, behind the baby...so she could escape! It made for a stinkin' cute photo!

And then finally, we were ready to head home! Here's a photo of Kaiya in the car on the ride home. She didn't wake up once...

Let the games begin...
