This is my disgruntled infant today...
As I mentioned before, we have our daily talks during a wake time...she wasn't enthusiastic about today's talk...

One thing that really cracks me and worries me at the same time is that she is constantly looking for her right hand / thumb to suck on...as a comfort thing, I guess. So - I tried to give her a pacifier. I read online that if the baby does need to suck...better a pacifier than her thumb...because you can always take the pacifier away.
So here is Kaiya telling me that she needs something to gnaw on...like a little birdie...with her mouth open.
And here is Kaiya telling me that she doesn't want that stinkin' pacifier!
I do have to try for a few minutes to get her to take it...and she'll eventually take it. It is fascinating to me she needs to suck...she does! She can be fussy and her whole body be stiff. I can rock her, burp her, cuddle her...and nothing works. As soon as she takes her pacifier (albeit it takes some time for her to take it...) her entire body relaxes and she'll typically go to sleep. It's so odd to me because Allie was SOOO the opposite!
