Day 131 - RSV kicks in...

So - this makes, what the 4th visit to the doctor in two weeks. I have been asking about RSV from the FIRST time I brought Kaiya in. Each time, they have reassured me that whatever Kaiya had...was not RSV.

Until today.

The doctor said, "This is a much different baby than the last time I saw her."

So - we got her suctioned...which is hard for me to watch...and then they sent some of the mucous off to be cultured and tested for RSV.

Regardless - the treatment isn't going to be any different. We have a prescription to visit the suction clinic at the Emergency Room at any time as many times as we need to for the next 7 days. Her oxygen levels were low until they suctioned her out and then returned back to 100%, so there is no need to hospitalize her at this point. Who knows what we're in store for...

And here is a photo of Kaiya chilling out after our rough day at the doctor. These two photos crack me up because our house guest Toby...doesn't realize he's a dog. So our rule here at the house for him is, Humans First and then we'll take care of your needs!!

As you can see...he clearly doesn't like that rule!!
