Day 99 - A dent in my head
Kaiya has always favored her right side - her right thumb and the laying on the right side of her head...which has caused her head to be dented and flat in the back on the right side.
When I asked the pediatrician what we could do to fix it since no matter how much we put her on the left side...she always ends up on the right...she suggested a helmet. What? A HELMET? No, no, no - not on my kid. I'm not going to have a helmet baby if I don't have to!
So, in lieu of jumping right to a helmet...she suggested physical therapy. And we have an appointment next Wednesday to see what we can do.
In the meantime, we're trying to really figure out creative ways of getting her to stay on that side...with this gift from Bana...I think we might have found something that worked!

Day 98 - Where did my hair go?
Kaiya has been battling a bit of cradle cap or Seborrheic Dermatitis as confirmed by the pediatrician today...
I decided to take her in after watching the rash on her face, which were small little red dots, grow on her face. Turns out, it's just the dryness of her cradle cap moving down her face. With it being colder, we've been running a small space heater in her bedroom, which dries out the air even more...and we haven't been running her humidifier...
The remedy for cradle cap...wash her hair with mineral oil. The greasy-ness of the oil makes her hair look super thinned out...but I'm beginning to wonder if it really is thinning out. Is it falling out or is her head just getting bigger causing her hair to look thin?!?!

Day 95 - HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
Rather than recovering from a hangover...we are continuing to practice holding our head up!! She's getting better and better!! I was worried that she wouldn't be able to hold it up as well or as fast since we haven't given her nearly as much tummy time as we did with Allie...but turns out - she's progressing just fine!!
Allie loves, loves, loves to have her picture taken with her little sister!!
I wish I could say that I at least stayed up last night to ring in the New Year EAST COAST time...but didn't even make it for that!! Instead, I was asleep by 9:00...so 3-2-1...HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!
